Welcome aboard the special fun afternoon with members of the London Accord community on the classic Thames Sailing Barge Lady Daphne.  We intend to disrupt the traffic of London (with the authorities’ permission) as we sail gracefully down Europe's cleanest urban river and the spectacular city landscape of Tower Bridge to Greenwich, the Millennium Dome and back.

The purpose of the event is to further strengthen London Accord community ties. As the London Accord community is highly diverse, people will come from a number of areas – finance, NGOs, science, government, technology and enterprise. We hope to share experiences and learn from each other. The programme for the afternoon will consist of a short introduction by Principal Adviser to the London Accord, Michael Mainelli, the 'Warm Game' and prizes (with a carbon footprint that puts Burundi to shame), all served with drinks and sustainably-sourced canapés.

We will depart from London Bridge City Pier at 14:00 and return to London Bridge City Pier by 17:00.  We are committed to a bridge lift, so please do be on time – we are unable to turn back after we start enjoying ourselves.  Business, smart casual (we will be casual) or boating attire (no high heels) are all acceptable.
